Getting Ready for Kindergarten

Yep . . . it's true! Lance is going to enter Kindergarten in the fall. I have such mixed emotions over it. Lance is thrilled to death . . . he is counting down the days (literally). Everyday he asks me "how many more days until I go to kindergarten?". I know he will enjoy it and he is definitely ready. I am just not ready. It is going to be really hard since I have been with him everyday for the past five years. We went straight from six weeks of maternity leave to him attending day care with me. I have been so lucky to see all of his "firsts". It is so nice to be able to pop my head into his classroom and get a quick hug or kiss when I get to missing him. He is such a blessing! Ozarka Kids Academy will just not be the same without him. I think all the teachers are going to miss him too. We are enrolling him in Sulphur Rock Math & Science school for several reasons. #1 - It is so close to home (less than two miles). #2 - He takes after his daddy and loves the computer and any other techno gadget. #3 - I keep hearing how it is the best school in Batesville. So, we are excited but also a little sad to see him growing up so fast. I think Scott is really going to miss having him so close as well. Nana & Papa (my parents) are going to pick him up everyday so they are really happy about kindergarten. I just can't believe how fast my baby has grown up . . . we really need to enjoy every moment!!!
