Easter Festivities

Lance had an Easter Egg Hunt at school! Each child had to bring 20 plastic eggs stuffed with some type of prize. The older kids at school hid the eggs for all the kindergarteners. Each child was then able to find 20 eggs. It was hilarious! They were running around throwing eggs in their baskets and trying to count them to see if they could find more.

Lance enjoyed finding eggs around the house that the Easter Bunny hid. I also enjoyed finding his Easter Basket and looking through all the goodies the Easter Bunny left him.

On Easter Sunday, we went to my grandmother's house in Searcy. It rained all day so for the first time for as long as I can remember we had to have our big egg hunt inside. It just wasn't the same. We could only hide the plastic eggs, not the real ones. The kids still had a good time, especially when we let them go out in the rain to have our annual Easter Egg Fight! Beth's new husband, Stevie, was brave enough to go out with the kids to throw the real eggs. We have done this for as long as I can remember. It is one of the highlights of the day for the kids. Chris started it years ago . . . we missed having Chris and his family with us. The kids were smart enough to use their umbrellas as shields. It was really fun despite the rain!
