Lance's 100th Day of School Celebration!

On Lance's 100th day of school, his kindergarten class had a celebration! Each student brought 100 pennies to school. I was able to ride with the two kindergarten classes on the bus and help with the field trip. We first took the kids to First Community Bank where the children cashed their 100 pennies in and received a dollar. The kids then took a tour of the vault.

After the bank, we headed to the Dollar Tree. Yes, we had 40 kindergarteners running around Dollar Tree trying to pick ONE item. I will have to say that most of them did really well. We just had a few that kept changing their minds as they saw what their friends picked out. Lance chose a foam glider airplane. Each child took their purchase up to the counter, paid their dollar, and received a sack full of goodies along with their purchase.




After the Dollar Tree, we went to Dairy Queen for lunch. The children used another dollar to buy a kids meal. Lance even tried and liked french fries!!! Dairy Queen also made a 100th Day ice cream cake for the kids. It was really a lot of fun! I just can't believe all of the cool field trips that Lance has been on this year. In April, we are going to see Disney on Ice at Alltel Arena in Little Rock. It should be lots of fun!
