We had a wonderful Christmas! It was definitely not our typical Christmas. We truly missed having Chris, Stefanie, and Morgan to celebrate with us. Since most of Scott's family was already in town due to the accident, we had Christmas a little early with his family. On Christmas Eve, we went to the candlelight service at church but we didn't have our usual steak dinner at Mom & Dad's. We were all so tired and so stressed that we just needed a break. We postponed the steak dinner with Mama Helen until Friday, which worked out great!
We woke up Christmas morning to see what Santa delivered for Lance. He got a Wii with several games and accessories, a Spongebob digital camera, lots of art supplies, clothes, and some board games. Nana and Papa came over around 10:00 a.m. to exchange gifts. We then all headed to Searcy for Christmas at my grandmother's house.
My usual Christmas party for my staff had to be postponed. I normally cook dinner and have everyone over to my house. After trying to reschedule the party several times, we decided to go bowling and celebrate after New Year's Day.
We had a great Christmas overall! We enjoyed spending time with our family and friends. We were thankful to have everyone happy and healthy. We are looking forward to a good year in 2009!!! We have a lot to look forward to . . . we can't wait for our new nephew/cousin, Baby Gavin, to come along in January!!! We are ready for another t-ball season this spring. It should be a wonderful year (but just to be on the safe side we ate our black eyed peas)!!! We need all the luck we can get.
